Choices

The only way to deal with a poor choice is to follow it with wise decision.

Another 7/29

Today is my Mom's birthday.
She used to warn me about lots of things.
One in particular, "Don't let anyone treat you like a door stop." Unfortunately it took me awhile before I figured that one out.
 Happy Birthday Josie

Happiness

I've learned two very important things about happiness in my life:
1. How brilliant it is to be awake around people who care about you.
2. How stupid it is to lose any sleep worrying about people who don't.

Moving on is when you hear a song that used to remind you of how unhappy you were and now that song has no effect on you.

Hi Mom!

One of my favorite things was to try and out run my Mom and make my own "pursuit" music as I'd run through the house, down the stairs and out the front door. She loved to just keep up with me trying not to yell but laughing and blurting out, "Come here you little bastid!" I'd be laughing so hard, she'd always catch up to me.

Hi Mom!

I had the windows in my house open today. The Spring air reminded me of when I was a kid. It had my Moms voice in it calling my name. I could hear her from blocks away. It would end when I was finally in sight. "Get inside... time to eat."
When I was older we'd laugh at,"prince spaghetti day" and "Anthony! Anthony!"
Hi Josie. I'm missing you right now. Love you.

Church and State?

The word, "Christmas" has been disgraced so much we're expected to be politically correct and settle with, "happy holidays." Why keep "Christmas" when you have Santa Claus, presents and all the moola it takes to make it happen. A Holiday Tree? Stop. We know it's a money thing. (by the way it was enough to deal with, "Xmas.")

So what about Easter?
No real money here... The Easter Bunny? Chocolate rabbits? Easter eggs? Peeps? So who fucks with, "Happy Easter?"
No one! They don't. You can't... Easter is, "Happy Easter!" and Christmas is, "Merry Christmas."
It will always be politically correct to promote Easter as a Holiday... sacred or not. So...
"Happy Easter!" and stop fucking with, "Merry Christmas!"
And while I'm at it, screw, "Happy New Year!!!" (no disrespect) lol
I might be wrong, but I don't think so.
